2 locals recognized in hospitals' Mercy Awards

Fremont County, Wyo. – SageWest Health Care, part of LifePoint Health in Nashville, Tenn., announced last week that David Kauffman and Linda Tice earned the organization’s 2016 Mercy Award, for the Lander and Riverton campuses, respectively. Kauffman and Tice are two of roughly 70 other individuals across LifePoint Health to receive this award. Embodying his passion and commitment for serving others, David lives each day with service in mind. David exhibits selflessness and personifies community spirit through his involvement in Cornerstone Christian School, coaching youth sports, Boy Scouts, Guatemala missions and community fundraisers. Employed at SageWest for 16 years, David is one of the organization’s physical therapists based in Lander. David offers support and guidance to all of his patients and acts as an advocate for each patient throughout their entire care plan. His calming demeanor and caring nature helps ease patients through their healing and treatment process at SageWest. Employed at SageWest for six years, Linda is the information technology and services director for SageWest in Riverton and Lander. No matter what time of day, Linda makes herself available to offer support and guidance to all of her fellow co-workers, while providing her persistence and patience with all opportunities for education on technology and computer systems. Linda goes the extra mile to show her true compassion to serve patients and properly support visitors while they are at SageWest. “At SageWest Health Care, we share LifePoint’s commitment to making communities healthier, and we realize that the hard work and dedication of our employees is critical to our success,” Roy C. Vinson, interim CEO of SageWest Health Care said. “Every day, both David and Linda go above and beyond to demonstrate a level of care and compassion that we want every person who enters our facilities to experience. We are extremely proud to recognize David and Linda for their efforts on behalf of our patients and our communities.” Each hospital winner will be considered for LifePoint’s 2016 company-wide Mercy Award. The company-wide winner will be announced this summer and honored during a special ceremony in Nashville in August. #county10 #news
