Dispatch: Couple's fight results in minor stabbing; Lander wreck leads to citation

Here is Friday's recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *James Bias*, 52, and *Sherrie Bias*, 51, both of St. Stephen's, were arrested for Domestic Violence Battery. "Investigation revealed the pair had been in a verbal argument for the last three days," Fremont County Undersheriff Ryan Lee said. "During this incident it is alleged there was a heated argument and a small knife was produced by the male half. A struggle ensued over the knife and the male half was allegedly stabbed in the shoulder by the female half. The male half then is alleged to have struck the female in the face. Both subjects were jailed on allegations of Domestic Violence Battery. The complete investigation will be forwarded to the Prosecutor for further review. There were no life threatening injuries. " *Calls:* A report of a sex offender failing to register in the Riverton area is under investigation. A warrant is pending. Deputies were called to assist local who was in a dispute with another regarding the non-destruction documents with the caller's Social Security Number on them. At 4:53 p.m., a caller in Riverton provided information about the location of a stolen vehicle. The investigation is on-going. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *A 29-year-old Lander woman* was cited for Expired Driver's License, Expired Registration, and No Proof of Insurance. *A 26-year-old Lander woman* was cited for Following too Close after a 3:34 p.m. wreck on the 100 block of Main Street. *Calls:* A hit and run on the 200 block of South Fourth was reported on Thursday morning. Damage was minor and suspects are unknown. A bike stolen a week ago from a location on North Second was reported Thursday morning. At 3:47 p.m., police were called to the area of Wood and Hobson streets for a report of a group of kids fighting in the street. A loud party was reported on South First Street at 10:31 p.m. Police found no one party in the area. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS responded to 25 calls for service on Thursday into Friday morning. *Fire Departments* Firefighters around the county responded to six calls for service on Thursday.
