(Riverton, Wyo.) - New passenger airline service between Sheridan, Riverton and Denver begins July 1st with the Denver Air Connection (DAC). Riverton City Administrator Steven Weaver told the city council Tuesday night that tickets are now being sold for the flights, which are on a 30 passenger jet operated by DAC. To book a flight, go to the FlyRiverton
temporary website, or directly to DAC
. "This is exciting news," he said.
Great Lakes Airlines is still offering its Riverton to Denver flights as
well, albeit on a nine-passenger aircraft. The airline has requested a
waiver to return to flying its 19 seat Beechcraft, but that waiver has not
yet been acted upon.
The new jet service from Riverton Regional Airport has two flights a day to
Denver, beginning July 1st, at 8:09 a.m.(non-stop) and 12:29 p.m.(1 stop
at Sheridan) with return flights from Denver at 10:50 a.m. and 7:12 p.m.,
both non-stop service to Riverton, continuing on to Sheridan.
