Woman with knife restrained, stabs herself

(Riverton, Wyo.) - An intoxicated 18-year-old Riverton woman, Devon Thunderbull, was arrested in the 100 block of South 10th East Saturday at 5:18 p.m. for Aggravated Assault after slashing her way through a family argument. According to a Riverton Police Report, Thunderbull and her boyfriend were at the boyfriend's mother's home and were asked to move out. Instead, Thunderbull tried to kick in a door and when other family members arrived, she turned and advanced on them allegedly slashing the air with a knife. One person was struck in the shoulder and upper chest with the knife, but the blade failed to penetrate the clothing. Thunderbull was tackled to the ground by several people, according to the report, and in the process, she sustained a stab wound that required stitches at the emergency room. One of the victim's received a defensive wound on the back of her hand, but it was minor. After being treated at the hospital, Thunderbull was arrested.
