(Riverton, Wyo.) - A Winter Storm Advisory is in effect for Central Wyoming as the a storm system will bring periods of light to moderate snow or rain mixed with snow through this evening, according to the National Weather Service Station in Riverton. The weather advisory remains in effect through midnight tonight. The NWS said the snow will gradually increase this morning, continuing into this evening before tapering around midnight. The heaviest snowfall should be from this afternoon into this evening. Snowfall will gradually increase this morning, with 4 to 8 inches expected with higher amounts across the southern Absarokas. Winds will increase from the north to northeast to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
