(Pitchengine Communities) * (Riverton, Wyo.) - A malfunctioning indicator light on a Classic Air Medical King Air 35 forced the aircraft to return to Riverton Regional Airport shortly after 8 a.m. this morning. En route to pick up a patient in Rawlins, and nine minutes after takeoff, an indicator light flashed showing a possible fire in the right engine. According to a news release from Classic Air Medical, "the crew did both a visual inspection and reset of the indicator light, while turning around to return to the airport as a necessary precaution." Upon landing and inspection, no signs of a fire were found, but the aircraft is being fully inspected my mechanics. The possible problem resulted in an immediate response by the Riverton Regional airport ARFF team, the Riverton Fire Department and Fremont County EMS who were on stand-by at the airport if needed. Classic Air Medical already is back in service with a Pilatus PC-12. #couny10 #news
