URGENT - No unnecessary travel on the Reservation, numerous roads flooded. Flood Warning in effect through Monday

(h/t Tiff Bauer-Weber / Pitchengine Communities)* (Fremont County, Wyo.) - The Shoshone and Arapaho Transportation Department has closed the 17 Mile Road west of Arapahoe as water is crossing the highway at the Little Wind River Bridge. Plunkett Road south of Ethete has also been closed, as has been the Blue Sky Highway north of Ethete. A flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Riverton for the Little Popo Agie River through Lyons Valley and Hudson and for the lowlands between Hudson and Riverton. A flood warning has also been issued for the Little Wind River near Riverton where the river is anticipated to surpass flood stage of 8.5 feet by Sunday afternoon. Minor Flooding is also expected along either side of Highways 135 and 789. At 7 feet the river is bank full. The previous crest was 8.2 feet in June of 1993. A total of 5.47 inches of rain has fallen west of Fort Washakie, Lander has received a record 3.97 inches of rain through late this afternoon with more expected.
