(Pitchengine Communities) * (Riverton, Wyo.) - Two groups of students from the Wind River Job Corps Center's Heavy Equipment Program began the reconstruction of the Darcie Zimmer Memorial Recreational Pathway Monday. The trail is located along North 8th West in Riverton. The students are working from Webbwood Road on the north and from Sunset on the south. The equipment is from the Job Corps Program, said instructor Phil Cornelia. Using several backhoes, two front end loaders and student manpower, the WRJC students are taking up the old asphalt surface and will be replacing it with a sand compound that should make the trail easier to maintain. The current pathway has been in disrepair for over a decade and it has fallen out of popular use due to its rough condition. [image: Inline image 1] Moving the ripped up pavement to a storage pile.
