(FCSD#25 photo / Pitchengine Communities) * (Riverton, Wyo.) - The Red Cross Resource Center at the Fremont County Fairgrounds closed Sunday night after being in operation for seven days following the flooding in the county last weekend. According to a news release from Pat Kondas, Community Volunteer Leader, the Red Cross Damage Assessment Teams determined that four homes were destroyed, 37 homes sustained major damage and 186 homes had minor damage. The Resource Center opened 195 client cases, assisting 607 individuals. If anyone impacted by the flood still needs assistance, they should call the Red Cross office in Casper, (307) 237-8436. If it's an emergency, they can call the 24-Hour Disaster Response Line, (307)222-8272. A supply of filled sand bags and sand is still available on the south side of the main parking lot at the fairgrounds as of Monday morning. #county10, #news
