According to a Riverton Police Department Report, Jara and the other male, in his 20s, became engaged in a fist fight. At one point, Jara is reported to have pulled out a seven-inch long knife and began slashing the man. The victim, according to the report, had multiple lacerations to his left forearm about 4 inches in length each, two more large lacerations to the right side of his face between 4 and 6 inches long, including one from his right eye to his ear and the other on his cheek. Another large laceration was located on the top left side of the victim's head, which removed part of his scalp. The victim also showed multiple lacerations to his right hand and fingers, apparently defensive wounds. The report indicated Jara got into the fight after words were exchanged about the other man's wife. The victim was taken to SageWest Riverton Hospital for emergency treatment. Alcohol was involved, the report indicated. #county10 #news
