It's a Consumer Show / Outdoor Field Trip weekend that you won't want to miss if you Shoot, Fish, Hike, Bike, Climb or generally enjoy the outdoors. It'll be a weekend destination event that will include field events to showcase all of the outdoor activities typical of Wyoming. FREE. Lander Community and Convention Center on Buena Vista. 5-8 p.m. Friday with Live Entertainment, 9 a.m.- 7 p.m. on Saturday. *Saturday, May 21 * RIVERTON - 20167 Arbor Day and Armed Forces Day Celebration. The City of Riverton and the Riverton Tree Board will come together to mark the celebration of Arbor Day and Armed Forces Day in the “Celebrate our armed forces and the trees of our urban forest." Events include: Local boy scout troop #376 acting as our colorguard; Youth singers led by Pat Lemasters; Arbor day proclamation by City Council Member Sean Peterson; Tree City USA award for 15 years of Riverton being a tree city; 2016 K-5 poster contest winners will be announced and prizes awarded; Attendees can pick up free tree seedlings, and refreshments; Attendees can get in on a drawing for a free (approx.. $100 value) tree; 2016 donors will be recognized When: Saturday, May 21, 2016 10:00 am Where: At Veteran’s Park in Riverton (behind City Hall) LANDER - Emergency Medical Services Open House and BBQ. 3-7 p.m. In honor of National EMS week, Fremont County EMS is hosting an Open House BBQ. Guardian Flight and Classic Air Medical will also be participating. There will be live demonstrations of the latest training tools including a model of the human body that screams; food; free hands-only CPR classes for the public, and weather permitting, helicopter fly-ins. Lander EMS station on North 1st Street two blocks north of Main. *Thursday, May 26th* LANDER - "The Wit of Will Rogers and the Woman Behind the Wit, Betty Rogers" is the program in the Wyoming Community Bank Speaker's series at the Lander Pioneer Museum Thursday, May 26, at 7 p.m. Free. *Thursday, June 2* LANDER - Singing the Good Old Songs Again, a fundraiser for the Riverton and Lander Friends of the Library Association featuring Buffalo Bill Boycott and Dr. Joe and Jackie Davidson ad Gary Brandt. At the Lander Library, Thursday, June 2 at 7 p.m. (451 N. 2nd Street) and at the Riverton Branch Library, Saturday June 4th (1330 W. Park Avenue) at 7 p.m. *Friday, June 3* LANDER - The Wind River Wine, Whiskey and Craft Beer Festival will be held Friday, June 3, 6-9 pm at the Inn at Lander. Featured will be over 75 wines, many of Wyoming's craft brewers and many of Wyoming's craft distillers. This 14th annual event will feature 20+ of the best craft breweries in the Rocky Mountain West along with three bands, excellent food, fun and games for the whole family. Tickets can be bought at the gates both Friday and Saturday. Rates range from $25-35 for 1-day passes and $45-$50 for full weekend passes. The Lander Brewfest is open to all ages, non-drinkers, and families free of charge. In order to drink alcohol, participants can purchase passes and souvenir glasses at our Ticket Tent with a valid photo ID indicating that you are 21 years and older.
