Fort Washakie High graduates largest class yet

On Saturday, Fort Washakie High School graduated 11 students, which is the largest graduating class from FWHS to date. The Valedictorian was Isaac Lee, who deferred his speech to Aydan Weed. Hannah Nicol, our Salutatorian also gave a speech. Graduate Tara Jorgenson put a slide show together for the ceremony. Fort Washakie Richard Pogue Post #81 VFW members provided the color guard. Neil St. Clair, Lloydene Hill and the Wind River Singers made up the drum group. [image: 2016 grad 2.jpg] The students invited FWHS para educator, Shawn Ware (above) to be their guest speaker. He shared some stories of wisdom from "way back long time ago." Superintendent Terry Ebert and Board Chair Carla Mann recognized FWHS Principal Shad Hamilton for his 12 years of service to the district and high school, who is moving to another school. Hamilton spoke to the students and recognized each one. Brandon, you let me know when you've earned an associate's or bachelor's degree, and I will show up to your graduation with scissors. I know you can do it and that you will." After students received their diplomas they gave a white rose to their family members in the audience.
