Fort Washakie woman sets her clothes on fire in RPD holding cell

(Riverton, Wyo.) - 34 year old Brandy Decola of Fort Washakie was arrested on outstanding warrant. Upon arrival at the Riverton Police Department, she was patted down and placed in a holding cell. Soon after, officers noticed on the surveillance cameras that Decola had disrobed her clothes, including her shirt and pants, and set them on fire. It is unclear at this time whether or not she removed her undergarments. Decola attempted to put the fire out with water from the toilet. Officers immediately approached the holding cell, extinguished the fire and removed Decola. No injuries were reported. Decola was given jail clothing and placed in a juvenile holding cell. She was charged with Arson in the 4th degree. The Fire Department was called and a ventilation system was brought in to ensure the area was properly ventilated. The size of the fire is unknown at this time. There is approximately $200 worth of damage to the paint on the walls and floor. #county10 #news
