Big turnout for Golf 4 Garrett tournament

The fourth annual golf for Garrett fundraiser event was held in at the Lander golf course this Saturday. The fundraiser was split into two tee times with the first set to tee off at 7:30 am and the second at 1:00 PM. There were a total of 163 golfers participating in the event. Garrett is the son of Courtney and Justin Hopkin. Garret was diagnosed with a rare disorder called “Niemann-Pick Disease.” Recently, Garrett was accepted into a clinical trial in New York, where he is one of only eight participants and one of two in North America. Garrett is also the youngest person in the world to receive treatments for this disease. The Hopkin family is going to be moving to New York where they will be going through this clinical trial; Justin noted that he will be excited to come back to Lander after the trial is complete. #simon #county10 #news
