Shoshone Rose construction on pace for a September opening

The Shoshone Rose Casino's on-going massive construction project of a hotel and expanded gaming floor are set for an early September grand opening. The Eastern Shoshone Tribe broke ground on the $30 million facility last September. And the building is really starting to take place. In the hotel, the deluxe hotel rooms (an upgrade from standard rooms) will have fireplaces, and there will be six suites with mountain view balconies and jacuzzis. Smoking will still be permitted, but a new high-tech filtration is being installed to eliminate as much of the standing smoke as possible. An indoor pool is being installed, and the restaurant is gaining outdoor seating with shielding from the Wyoming winds. Taylor-Woodstone of Minneapolis is the lead contractor on the project, but about 50 percent of the funding has been spent on local sub-contractors.
