Helen Wells

Helen M. Wells, 92, formally of Riverton, died on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Elkhorn, NE. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June, 11, 2016, at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton, WY. Helen M White was born on August 30, 1923 in Competition, MO, to Ralph Walter and Della Edith (Fike) White. As a young child the family moved to the Pavillion, WY, area where she attended schools and graduated high school. On June 26, 1944, she married Lyle Edwin Wells in Riverton, WY. They had a daughter, Judy. The family lived in different areas of Wyoming, including, Midwest and Riverton. After her husband passed she went to Story to live with her daughter and later they moved to Elkhorn, NE. She also enjoyed to cooking, sewing, quilting, and when she was younger she liked to fish and camp in the Wyoming mountains.. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Marie Sillyman of Elkhorn, NE; brother, Charles Wayne White of Riverton, WY; sisters, Hazel Charity Hatcher of Virginia and Jean Campbell of Absarokee, MT; grandchildren, Lani Moe, Bob Bassett, and Doug Bassett; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Della White; husband of 61 years, Lyle E. Wells; brothers, Oral “Bub” White, Ivan White, and Glen “Johnny” White; and her son-in-law, Marvel Sillyman.
