#WhatsHappening this weekend: Skatepark opening, farmers market and more

Here's a list of everything on our calendar for this up-coming weekend. We're looking forward to it. *Friday, June 17* *LANDER - *The Nature Conservancy's annual Lander Butterfly Count in Red Canyon and Sinks Canyon starts at 9 a.m. You can help out all day or just during the morning or afternoon. We will meet at the Conservancy's Red Canyon Ranch Learning Center at 9 am (9 am -12 pm) and at Bruce’s parking lot in Sinks Canyon at 1 pm (1 pm – 4 pm). There is a suggested donation of $3 per participant that will be submitted to the North American Butterfly Association for the cost of maintaining long-term national butterfly data. TNC can accommodate up to 30 participants per session so contact the reserve a spot. For more details and to reserve your space, please contact Amy Pocewicz (335-2131 *Saturday, June 18* *DUBOIS - *Red, White and Blue Arts and Crafts Show is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dubois VFW Post 10056. *LANDER - *Lander's Farmers Market will be every Saturday, June 18-Oct. 15, 9am-noon at City Park. Enjoy live music while you shop for the freshest produce local growers have to offer! For best access, enter City Park Drive and enter the gravel parking lot between the two baseball fields. *LANDER -* Tour de Wish Lander 5k bike ride/run/walk will take place June 18 at 10 a.m. beginning at the Lander Valley High School. People may register now at or register the day of the event beginning at 9:30 a.m. The cost to participate is $15 for early registrants or $20 for day-of registration. Children 10 years of age and younger participate for free. *RIVERTON - *The Riverton Skate Park's Grand opening celebrations begin at 11 a.m. at Riverton City Park. *RIVERTON - *The Riverton Museum will host a Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speakers Series program by Marcel Kornfeld entitled, "Hell Gap: And it's Importance to Paleoindian Studies" on June 18 at 3:00 pm at the Riverton Museum. The program is free to the public. *LANDER - *Unplugged Summer Kickoff at the Lander Bake Shop is from 6-9 p.m. Food, music and game will be outside for this family friendly event. *DUBOIS - *The Swedish Smorgasbord—An all-you-can-eat buffet of traditional Scandinavian foods, including cabbage rolls, Swedish meatballs, pickled herring, coleslaw, hardtack, handcrafted mustards, fattigman, spritz cookies, and berry cream, will be held Saturday, June 18th with seatings at 5pm and 6pm at the Headerwaters Arts and Conference Center.
