John Terrence Underwood Sr.

John Terrence Underwood, 52, of Ethete, Wyoming passed away June 18, 2016 at the Wyoming Medical Center, in Casper Wyoming. A visitation will be held from 5:00p.m. to 8:30p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete with a Rosary to begin at 7:00pm, and an all-night Wake at the Family Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete. John was born July 24, 1963, to Martin Sr. And Philomena (Walker) Underwood. His arapaho name was (Hinen Wooxeiht) “No Good Man”. He was raised in the Mill Creek area. John attended Mill Creek Elementary, and was a graduate of Wyoming Indian High School. He was of the catholic faith and believed in our Arapaho/Shoshone traditional ways. He previously worked for the Shoshone & Arapaho tribes gravel program. He currently was employed with the northern arapaho engineering department. He is survived by his wife Adrissia (Posey) Underwood, children: Amber Yellowbear, John Jr., Stevie (Tyrone Groman), Audrey, Jake (Cathy), Lorenzo (Catherine), Jocelyn, and Michael Underwood, Grandchildren: Ariana, Angela, Sheraye, Mayelynn, Sunrise, Loveliah, Jayrod, Zoephia, Marcellius, Johnston, Isiah, Halle, Matthew, Layla, Kyree, Aalyiah, and Lukas. Sisters: Audrey, Patricia, Kay, Alicia, and Gerri Underwood, Jody Jorgenson, Karen (Butch) Trosper, Rebecca (Tim) Miller, Lucy Willow, Alvena Oldman, Ruth Biglake and Anita Gordan. Brothers: Martin, Jr. (Aldene), Jerome (Ramona), Kenneth Shakespeare, Ray Underwood, Alfred Redman, Hubert Redman, Keith Chavez, Marty and Myron Chavez, Clarence Chavez, Harold Littlebear, and Fish John Friday. Sister-in-laws: Theodora Hill, Marlene Deale, Zette Underwood. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Martin and Philomena, brothers: Wesley, Pat and baby boy Underwood, nieces: Philana, Kerry, and Coleen Underwood, nephews: Dee Dee, Jr. And Daniel Ferris.
