*(Fremont County) *– Are you ready for the 4th? We sure are. Below is a list of the many festivities happening in County 10 over the Fourth of July weekend. We wish everyone a very happy and safe
From 9 a.m. on July 4th to midnight, the open container law will be waived
in Lander city limits. This means that open containers of alcohol anywhere
in town are legal. This does not constitute a waiver of public intoxication
or driving under in the influence laws. Additionally, the open container
waiver is only within Lander, and no where else in the county.
Lander is also allowing fireworks to be shot off within city limits. That
allowance is from 10 a.m. July 4th to midnight. Fireworks are also allowed
in the county. Fireworks are not allowed inside the city limits of Riverton.

*2016 Challenge for Charities Half Marathon, 5K and 1M youth run-* Register
on-line here . Or
register in-person at Wild Iris, 166 Main St. Event packet pickup and
day-of registration begins at 5:15 am, half marathon walkers and runners
begin at 6 am, 5k run/walk begins at 7 am at Centennial Park in Lander.
*Lander Senior Center Pancake Breakfast-* 7-9 am, 205 So. 10th St.,
pancakes, sausage, orange juice & coffee, $5 per person
*Pioneer Days Parade, Lander's Main Street-* 10 am.
*Rotary Club's annual Buffalo BBQ, Lander City Park-* 11 am-2 pm, Adults
$10, Kids $5, tickets available at the Lander Chamber of Commerce, 160 N.
*Dubois Parade-* 2:00- 3:00 p.m. followed by the duck race at 2:45pm, and
the ice cream social 3-5 p.m.
*Bad Boys of Bullriding-* at Willow Creek Arena in Lander at 6:00 p.m.
*Pioneer Days Rodeo-* July 3-4, 6:30 pm each night, July 3 Little Cowpokes
Night (calf scramble & foot races). Presale tickets Adult $8, kids 6-12 $4;
at the gate Adult $10, kids 6-12 $5, 5 & under free. Tickets available at
the Lander Chamber of Commerce, 160 N. 1st St.
*Lander City Fireworks follow the rodeo.*
*Dubois fireworks- 9:30pm.*
*Thermopolis fireworks at dark to Celebrate the holiday. *
