Two more Lander home invasion suspects plead guilty

Yesterday, the two of the five individuals charged in the December 2015 home invasion and beating of a local elderly couple entered a guilty plea pursuant to a deal with prosecutors. Read background of this case here . Read the other plea agreements here . *The 17-year-old male *entered a guilty plea for the following: - Count 1: Unlawful Entry into an Occupied Structure. Unlawful Entry into an Occupied Structure is a felony punishable by up to 6-8 years in prison. A sentencing hearing date is yet to be determined. As part of the plea agreement other charges have been dropped. His bond agreement was adjusted slightly. The defendant will be allowed contact with his co-defendants by mail through their respective detention centers. *36-year-old Wade Wheeler* entered a guilty plea to the following charges: - Count 1: Attempting to deliver a controlled substance. Felony punishable by up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 or both. - Count 2: Accessory after the fact to unlawful entry into an occupied structure. Felony punishable by up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $3,000 or both. - Count 3: Burglary - Punishable by 2-4 years in prison. The maximum sentence that Wheeler will serve is up to 10 years in prison. A sentencing hearing date is yet to be determined. During the plea agreement, Judge Young initially did not accept Wheeler's guilty plea to count two, accessory after the fact to unlawful entry into an occupied structure. Judge Young ordered a short recess and afterwards Wheeler said he had left some facts out and proceeded to clarify that "he had picked up the other four the morning after the incident because they needed to deliver a PS4 and TV to someone." Wheeler said it was during this encounter that he learned of what the Eisnnichers had done and therefore was an accessory after the fact. Judge Young then accepted his guilty plea. Wheeler's bond was adjusted from $100,000 down to $10,000 cash bond. *Brittney Church*, another individual charged in the December 2015 home invasion and beating of a local couple entered a guilty plea at a previous date: - Count 1: Unlawful Entry into an Occupied Structure. Unlawful Entry into an Occupied Structure is a felony punishable by up to 6-8 years in prison. Church's sentencing hearing is set for August 4th.
