Several local players travel with Wyoming Wolves basketball team

The Wyoming Wolves basketball travel team participated in the Rocky Mountain Showcase in Salt Lake City on June 23, 24, and 25. The team faced teams from Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, and Alaska during the tournament while college coaches watch the players showcase their skills. The Wolves beat a California team and the Alaska team but lost by 4 to an elite Idaho team during pool play. The Wolves regrouped, however, and advanced through bracket play; beating a Reno Elite team in the Championship game. “There were some really good teams in this tournament but our boys met the challenges and finished the tournament strong. We’re very proud of them and the hard work they’ve put in to get to this point,” said coaches Jay McClung and Mike Maxson. The Wolves team consisted of Gary Medicine-Cloud (Shoshoni HS), Jayin Trumbull (Wind River HS), Taylor Tidzump (Wind River HS), Dustin Fox (Greybull HS), Noah Schwalbe (Hot Springs County HS), Garrett Lozier (Pinedale HS), Trace Murphey (Lovell HS), and Cameron Morris (Green River HS). The Wolves travel to Nebraska this weekend for another College Showcase tournament. #county10 #news
