We're looking forward to it. *Monday, July 11* RIVERTON - Hot Notes Cool Night Concert: Local band Speakeasy performs at Central Wyoming College Intertribal Center patio, 2660 Peck Ave at 7pm. LANDER - Lander's Eagle Bronze Foundry offers weekday guided foundry tours, Monday - Friday, twice daily at: 9:30am and 1:30pm. Free to the Public. Wind River Hotel & Casino. DUBOIS - The Dubois Museum and McDonald’s Children’s Exploration Series: “Trailblazing” - Learn basic trailblazing skills. It is fun exploring the outdoors, but only if you stay ‘found’. Learn how to know where you are and where you are going by using clues, trail signs, maps and a compass. There is always treasure at end of the trail, it may be something you keep, or just a memory. Meet at the museum at 10am sharp. 10am-12pm. DUBOIS - Everyone is invited to Tuesday Night Square Dances in Dubois, every Tuesday night, June 7-August 30, 8-9:30 pm, in the Frontier Room of the Rustic Pine Tavern. Cost is $3 adults, $2 kids 12 & under. *Wednesday, July 13* LANDER - Lander LIVE! outdoor concert features Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, presented by Fremont Toyota. Come eat, drink, dance, and be merry with us at the Jaycee Park Stage, 1st St. and Main St. Bring your own chair or picnic blanket. Come early and see the Eagle Spirit Native American Indian Dancers performing 5:30-6pm. Both events are FREE. Concert is 6pm-9:30pm-ish. RIVERTON: Chalk the Walk Festival Sidewalk Art Contest at Riverton Library from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. LANDER - The Museum of the American West in Lander will host weekly educational Native American dance performances. The Eagle Spirit Dancers will present traditional dancing, and an emcee will explain it all, starting at 7 p.m. each Wednesday on the lawn behind the museum. LANDER - Lander Pioneer Museum presents: WY Community Bank Discovery Speakers Series: History of Rawhide-Demonstrations. The History of Rawhide Braiding” by master braider Jack Mease. He will demonstrate rawhide and leather braiding and talk about the history of this art. 7pm. DUBOIS - The mysterious history of Taxidermy - explained! Have you ever wondered how taxidermists work their magic? Listen in as local taxidermist Lynn Stewart shares the insights and history of this art. Bring the family for rodeo fun and games on horseback starting at 6 pm. DUBOIS - Dubois Friday Night Rodeos all summer long. This is a favorite family friendly event of real western rodeo action geared for all ages. Rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. *Saturday, July 16 * RIVERTON: Balloon Rally, Tethered Rides at 7:00 a.m. at CWC Launch Field at 6:00 a.m. RIVERTON: Kiwanis Family Pancake Breakfast at CWC Launch Field at 6:00 a.m. LANDER - Dolomite Dash Trail Run, with 5km, 10, and 21km to choose from. Previously known as the Wild Iris Mountain Run, Elemental Performance & Fitness is proud to host the re-named 9th Annual Dolomite Dash Trail Run in 2016. This race is held in conjunction with the International Climbers’ Festival and is an incredibly scenic and challenging event. Day of registration opens at Wild Iris Climbers’ Main Parking Lot. 6:30 am registration. 7am – 21km Race Start, 7:30am – 10km & 5k Race Starts. SHOSHONI - Youth Fishing Derby at Boysen Reservoir! Anglers aged 13 and under are encouraged to take part in the annual Boysen Youth Fishing Derby from 8am- 6pm. A professional art show by some of the nations top notch artists. Genres include wildlife, still lifes, figurative, and abstracts in all art mediums. Show is held at 20 Stalnaker St. from 9am - 6pm. LANDER - The Lander Pioneer Museum presents the Wind River Visitors Council’s Adventure Trek: Lander Cemetery Trek – Crispin Theme, at Lander’s Mt. Hope cemetery. RIVERTON - The Riverton Museum /WY Community Bank Discovery Speakers Series: Russell Hawley: Fossil Critters of the Wind River Basin. Russell is Education Specialist at the Tate Geological Museum in Casper, who has worked at the museum for 18 years, and has been digging up fossils in Wyoming for the past 25 years. 3pm-4:30pm.
