Body discovered by Pokemon Go player identified

(Riverton, Wyo.) - Multiple sources confirm the body found floating in the Wind River by local teen playing Pokemon Go was Jeffrey Day, 28, of Arapahoe. The most recent information from the Fremont County Sheriff's Office states: "The death appears to be accidental in nature and possibly that of a drowning. There is no evidence at this time that would indicate foul play. Evidence located at the scene has led investigators to believe the man went into the water at the location he was found." On Friday, July 8, 19-year-old Riverton resident Shayla Wiggins found the dead body floating in the Wind River. Read more about that discovery here. The body was located in about three feet of water on the east side of the Wind River Bridge. The County Sheriff is leading the investigation with assistance from the FBI as well as the Riverton Police Department. The area in which the body was located is situated near the convergence of three jurisdictional boundaries and was determined to be just inside the primary jurisdiction of the Sheriff. “At this time the investigation is ongoing," said Undersheriff Ryan Lee. "Further details as to the circumstances surrounding the death will be released after preliminary autopsy results are received and we have a clearer picture of what occurred.” *Feature photo: h/t Jeffrey Day's facebook page / Pitchengine Communities* #county10 #news
