35-year-old woman stabs Riverton man; Arrested for Aggravated Assault and Battery

(Riverton, Wyo.) - Riverton Police Department arrested 35-year-old Latasha Littlelight of Montana on Saturday for Aggravated Assault and Battery. Around 5:30 p.m. officers were called to the 600 block of East Fremont Street for a report of possible stab and gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers found a man who had suffered a stab wound to his left thigh. He had called officers to report that he had found the woman that stabbed him. Upon further investigation, officers learned that earlier in the day the two individuals had eaten breakfast together at the victim's home on the 1200 block of East Park Street. The two of them reportedly got into an altercation and Littlelight knocked over a knife block. She reportedly stabbed the wall and then proceeded to stab the man twice in the left thigh. Officers were not immediately called and the two individuals separated for several hours. Later in the day the victim was walking along the 600 block of East Fremont Street and reportedly saw the woman who had stabbed him. Together they entered St. Margaret's Church and that's where the victim called officers to report the incident. Upon arrival officers noticed his wound had been stitched together with sewing thread. Littlelight claims she stabbed the man in self-defense, telling officers he had beat her up this morning. Officers did notice she had black eye but noted it appeared to be an old injury. Littlelight was arrested for assault and battery, and the victim was taken for medical attention. #county10 #news
