Gillette is about to get connected! Pitchengine welcomes Brenda Kirk to County 17!

(Gillette, Wyo.) – Pitchengine is excited to officially announce County 17 , the Community News Stream in Gillette. County 17 is part of Pitchengine Communities , a growing group of news streams in cities and towns across Wyoming with the goal of connecting the people, businesses and organizations who influence them. County 17 is based on the company’s first news stream, County 10 , which served Lander and Riverton, Wyoming as a test market for the past four years. “We’ve been formulating the model since day one,” explained PitchEngine CEO, Jason Kintzler, “We’re excited to bring the format to other Wyoming communities so that they can experience the kind of connection our readers have.” Pitchengine has brought on-board Brenda Kirk as Community Maven for County 17. Brenda studied film production at Michigan State University and worked on Adam Sandler films in Los Angeles for a while before moving back to the midwest to produce TV news. She spent 14 years with CBS News. "I'm so excited to work for Pitchengine," said Kirk. They're a company that focuses on all the things I've been hoping for with new media. It's great to find a place that really understands how news and social media intersect." “We’re excited to bring Brenda aboard in Gillette,” explained Kintzler. “She understands inherently what we’re trying to do with Pitchengine Communities, and I think she’ll be a great advocate for the community there.” Pitchengine Communities, Wyoming's new dominate media outlet with 4.5 million pageviews per month, continues to grow and expand across the state of Wyoming and beyond!
