Wanted Suspects Apprehended By Campbell County Sheriff

(Gillette, Wyo.) 38 year old Billy Jack Terhune has been wanted by the Crook County Sheriff's department since last Friday, January 8th. He fled the Hulett area with his 19 year old girlfriend, Brianna Thompson, after law enforcement tried to stop him for a felony burglary warrant. He was regarded as extremely dangerous because he was armed and had reportedly made threats that he "[wouldn't] go back to jail." On Thursday afternoon, after receiving several tips that Terhune may be in the Gillette area, Campbell County Sheriff's deputies stopped Terhune, Thompson, and several others in a pickup truck on Highway 51. Terhune was in possession of a stolen pistol, which he had been using to threaten the 21 year old driver. It is believed the other passengers had not been aware of what was going on until law enforcement tried to stop the truck, which is when Terhune produced the gun. Terhune was arrested on aggravated assault charges, as well as the felony warrants he's accrued in Crook County for larceny and eluding. He is to be formally charged later today. #county17 #news -- *Brenda Kirk* Community Maven for | 614.940.7121 Twitter | Instagram | Facebook PitchEngine™ | *Connecting Communities* | Twitter | Facebook
