(Gillette, Wyo.) On Saturday morning, the Campbell County Sheriff's Office responded to a harassment call. A twelve year old girl was getting unwanted phone calls and didn't know how to stop them. Sheriff's deputies then showed her how to block calls coming in to her phone, but here are some ways to handle harassment for yourself or your child: There are apps to block "unknown callers", like Call Control for Android, or Call Bliss for iPhone. But if you know the person calling you and you're tired of it, Android has "Privacy Mode," which allows you to pre-approve which if your Contacts makes it through to your phone. For iPhone, it's called "Do Not Disturb." Bullying in Campbell County schools is down 18% since implementing the OLWEUS system
years ago, according to KOTA. Harassment outside of school, and on social
media, is also taken seriously. If your student is being bullied or
harassed, it should be reported to your school's principal.
If you wish to report bullying anonymously, you can fill out this form
online or call 1-855-86-BULLY.
