Dispatch: Cell phone thefts; Assault near oilfield

Here’s Thursday's law enforcement recap from around the county. All calls took place between January 20th and early January 21st. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Gillette Police Department* *Shaun Howson, 31, of Gillette, *was arrested early Thursday morning for driving under the influence. He was stopped near the McDonald's on Westover and officers smelled alcohol. Howson failed a field sobriety test, and his blood alcohol level was .10. *Kami Kearns, 30, of Gillette*, was arrested early Thursday morning for driving while under the influence. *Christina Malone, 37, of Gillette*, was picking up her 16 year old son Wednesday afternoon, because he'd been driving around without a license. She was arrested for an outstanding warrant and for not having her own vehicle registration on her. While looking for a missing person, police found a 20 year old man at the Circle L motel who had a marijuana pipe, an empty bag of marijuana, and a bottle of vodka in his room. He was cited for minor in possession and violating his probation. The property manager at Valley View apartments called police about a 19 and 35 year old pair of females that were "causing problems" on the property. The 19 year old was found and issued a warning. The 35 year old was out of town. A 16 year old student was at track practice at the Rec Center and set her iPhone down. It was stolen during that time period, from 3 - 5pm, a $450 reported loss. A 47 year old man parked his pickup outside the Rockpile Ice Arena and left it unlocked. Someone took his phone and his wallet, about $250 worth of items. *Campbell County Sheriff's Office* *Gerald Brown, 47, of Gillette*, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at the VOA. *Salvador Elizardo, 30, of Gillette*, was arrested for an outstanding failure to appear warrant. *Charlie Wille, 20, of Gillette*, was taken in to custody at the Campbell County Court House. An assault on Cosner road Wednesday night near Wright has deputies looking for a 25 year old man. The 34 year old victim suffered injuries to the side of his face, and his right ear. *All information provided by GPD Sgt.
