Rumpus at Fireside leads to Multiple Drug Arrests

(Gillette, Wyo.) At 2 am Saturday morning, Gillette police responded to the report of a fight at Fireside Lounge. They found a 33 year old man who said that he had been hit in the head. Police found a 34 year old walking alone a few blocks away. The older man had been leaving Fireside when the younger man attempted to start a fight. He was punched by the older man, who then left. Both were cited for breach of peace. The 33 year old was on probation and was not supposed to be drinking, so he was also cited for probation violation. While responding to the fight, officers found three people hanging out in a car. A K9 unit confirmed the presence of drugs. When searched, *19 year old Falen Van Pelt, 22 year old Fernando Noyola, *and* 25 year old Mario Barrera* were found to be in possession of controlled substances. Van Pelt had four grams of marijuana and a quarter gram of meth on her, for which she was arrested. Noyola already had a city warrant for a hit and run, but was also carrying a meth pipe. Barrera had an open container of alcohol, and 1.5 grams of meth. The two men were also arrested. As Noyola and Barrera were being searched at the county jail, Barrera was found with the meth, and Noyola was apparently trying to smuggle in a gram of pot and less than a gram of meth. Both received additional felony charges for introducing a controlled substance in to the detention center. Police also located a purse in the parking lot of Fireside. The owner has been contacted. It did not contain anything suspicious. #county17 #news -- *Brenda Kirk* Community Maven for | 614.940.7121 Twitter | Instagram | Facebook PitchEngine™ | *Connecting Communities* | Twitter | Facebook
