(Gillette, Wyo.) Gillette College Foundation posted these photos to their Facebook page
this afternoon. Construction on the new Pronghorn Center near campus is
continuing even with the snow.
"It is evident to see the work taking place on the Pronghorn Center; steel
is being erected as we speak with the crane swinging pieces into place,"
they wrote. "The next couple of weeks we will see the shell of the building
begin to take shape. On the interior of the building concrete slabs are
still being poured and we have seen the first pour of the sound insulated
floor in the weight room. If you are curious the highest point of the
building you can see is 50 feet from the gym floor."
"Housing is moving along well; the stair towers and elevator shaft are in
place, and the contractor is forming up the remainder of the foundation
walls. Framing material is being delivered and we should start to see
framing going up in the next couple of weeks. Housing fact: the project has
room for 140 students and the dining area can feed upwards of 500 people."
