Local Man Charged with Vehicular Homicide

(Gillette, Wyo.) The Recluse man who fled from Sheriff's deputies last summer and killed a 70 year old has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide. [image: grantgleason.jpg] 27 year old Grant Gleason was speeding away from law enforcement on Fairview Road last June when he appeared to deliberately steer in to oncoming traffic, and the truck of George Bryant. Gleason had to be life-flighted to Campbell County Memorial Hospital, while Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene. His truck had rolled over and ejected him upon impact with Gleason. When troopers searched Gleason's truck afterwards, they found 2.2 grams of cocaine. Gleason appeared in Campbell County Circuit Court yesterday afternoon. The two charges he faces are for driving under the influence and driving recklessly, each is a felony considering it resulted in another driver's death. The state will decide which charge applies best. Gleason's bond was set at $200,000 and he was released. If convicted, Gleason faces up to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. #county17 #news -- *Brenda Kirk* Community Maven for | 614.940.7121 Twitter | Instagram | Facebook PitchEngine™ | *Connecting Communities* | Twitter | Facebook
