You Could Design Thunder Basin's Logo and Win Money Doing It

(Gillette, Wyo.) Thunder Basin High School is set to open in 2017. Its school colors (electric blue and silver) and mascot (the Bolts) have already been chosen. Now the Campbell County School district is announcing a public contest for a school logo. Teachers, students, and the general public are invited to participate to win a $100 cash prize. The contest runs through the end of February. The student councils at both South Campus and North Campus will select five designs from all the designs submitted. Students in grades 5th through 12th will be allowed to vote on their choice during a survey in March. The winning logo will be the one that receives the most votes by the students, and receive board approval. The artist who wins the design contest will be recognized at the school board meeting on April 12, 2016 when the results of the competition will be announced by Student Council President Brittany Bell and Sophomore Class President Tom Lubnau III. Second place will receive a $50 cash award, and third place will receive a $25 cash award. Interested artists can be sent the RGB and CYMK formulas and a color swatch for electric blue if they request it. The accent color for the school is black, and black helmets have already been ordered by the athletic administration for the school. You may use any accent color you desire for your logo, but typical accent colors are white or black. According to a press release issued by the school district: "The logo could be letters, like TB, or something around the ‘Bolts, as in Thunder Bolts. Or just ‘Bolts! We would like to leave the logo design up to the artist." Send your final logo to: Mary Kelley c/o Educational Services Center 1000 West 8th Street Gillette, WY Include your full name, address, and telephone number. The winner must be willing to transfer all right, title and interest in the chosen design to Campbell County School District to utilize in its sole discretion. Campbell County School District intends to register the chosen design as one of its trademarks. #county17 #news -- *Brenda Kirk* Community Maven for County17.com brenda@pitchengine.com | 614.940.7121 Twitter | Instagram | Facebook PitchEngine™ | *Connecting Communities*http://pitchengine.com | Twitter | Facebook
