Dispatch: Assault; Multiple car accidents; Fraud

Here's what happened around Campbell County on Wednesday. All calls took place between 6 a.m February 10th and 6 a.m. February 11th. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Gillette Police Department* *Shawn Miller, 40, Gillette, *arrested for multiple charges related to a fire in his apartment . *Jamie Siegert, 39, Gillette*, arrested for DUI. *Accidents* At 11:30 Wednesday morning, a 57 year old man driving a Ford pickup was struck by a 50 year old man driving a Buick on the corner of 4th and 59. The Buick owner drove through the red light, and was issued a citation for failure to stop. There were no injuries. Damage was greater than $1000. [image: 20160210_113716.jpg] About an hour later, a 36 year old man and a 42 year old man were in a two vehicle crash near the Subway on 2nd and Decker. The 36 year old was cited for failure to yield the right of way during a left turn, and failure to provide insurance. There were no injuries. More than $1000 damage was done. *Harrassment* A 26 year old woman reported that a 26 year old male had been text messaging her repeatedly and would not stop. Officers found the man and told him to stop texting her. They also gave him a trespassing warning to prevent him from bothering her at home. He said he would comply. *Counterfeiting* Officers took eleven counterfeit $10 bills from Albertson's. All were used by one person at the store. It's under investigation, and it's not clear if this is part of the fake bills that were found earlier . *Burglary* A 67 year old man reported Wednesday night that someone entered his apartment while he was out of town. A small flat screen tv, a bottle of liquor, and a bag of change were taken. Total value is $300 and an investigation is ongoing. *Firearms* At 430 a.m. on Thursday, a 32 year old man was stopped for expired tags. K9 units indicated narcotics may be present. Officers found rolling papers and a handgun. The man has a previous aggravated assault with a firearm charge, and is not allowed to have a gun.The loaded firearm and ammunition were confiscated and the case was forwarded to the ATF. He was not arrested. *Campbell County Sheriff's Office* *Sean Barrick, 28, Gillette, *arrested for probation violation. *Chelsie Benson, 27, Gillette, *arrested for felony theft. *Jason Lane, *who turned 30 today, was arrested late Wednesday night when he was stopped for not having visible registration tags. He had a failure to appear warrant and was also arrested for driving under suspension, as well as a misdemeanor possession of marijuana. *Kyle Locken, 30, Gillette*, arrested for a probation violation. *Komatsu Equipment* Early Wednesday morning a 47 year old man reported that a 2013 GD655 grader had been vandalized. A window had been shattered and will cost an estimated $1495 to replace. The tractor had been fine last week when they last snow plowed, but they noticed the damage some time on Tuesday. *Fraud* A 48 year old with a company called Immobiliari Cilit Lindo De Mazatlan claims that in 2012, he paid $168,000 for a bulldozer from a 43 year old man. The bulldozer was never delivered, and so they asked for a refund. The suspect made two payments of $30,000 and $10,000 in early 2013. The company claims no formal repayment agreement was reached, and allegedly the suspect has fraud charges in other states. They are seeking help from the Sheriff's Office and the county attorney in getting their money back. *Theft* Nanneman Brothers Automotive says that someone cut their fence to their salvage yard on the northeast side, and made off with a car battery worth $100. Wednesday night a man reported that someone driving a Ford F-150 with a black tool box had been trying to aggressively overtake him on the road. When the man got home, he saw the same truck driving around his house, which worried him, so he called authorities. They were unable to locate the driver of the Ford. 3 a.m. Thursday morning, a man was brought in to Campbell County Hospital, apparently the victim of an assault. He was unable to answer questions intelligibly.
