Update: Student Situation Causes School Lockdowns in two Counties

(Gillette, Wyo.) The missing 18 year old who set off a series of school lockdowns yesterday morning has still not been located by law enforcement. He is allegedly only a threat to himself at this time, but officers are still searching for him to check on his well being. A photo he shared to social media seemed to indicate he may be suicidal, which is of some concern. Moorcroft schools were also put on lockdown, because a friend of the missing teenager had been spotted in the area and was stopped for questioning. Officers also searched locations in Wright and Rozet to try and find the missing student. According to Gillette Police, the truck they stopped at Good Times liquor at 4:30 am Wednesday morning was not being driven by the missing 18 year old. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious truck on Teepee Street. The truck was a one ton with a flat bed. Before officers arrived at the home, the truck left the area. They found it pulling in to Good Times liquor. There were two 15 year olds in the vehicle. One of the boys had snuck out of his house on Teepee, and the other did not have permission to be in the truck. It belongs to an older man who is out of the country. The 15 year old got the keys from the missing 18 year old, who was also not authorized to use the vehicle. The 15 year old driver was cited for unauthorized use of a car, also for driving outside the restrictions of his license. The 15 year olds were then turned over to their parents. #county17 #news -- *Brenda Kirk* Community Maven for | 614.940.7121 Twitter | Instagram | Facebook PitchEngine™ | *Connecting Communities* | Twitter | Facebook
