Two Armed Robberies Overnight Possibly Connected

(Gillette, Wyo.) Just about closing time at the Domino's Pizza on Lakeway Tuesday night, a man entered through an unlocked back door and demanded cash. He claimed he had a gun, but didn't actually show it. Gillette police arrived after the man had fled. But five hours later, there was another robbery call at the Central Kwik Shop on East 2nd. Just before opening, at 5:30 a.m., an employee there also stated a man walked in the unlocked back door of the building and demanded money. Like before, he threatened employees with a weapon but did not show it. Witnesses at both locations describe the robbers as a 5'8"-5'9" white man with long shaggy dark hair and brown eyes. Police are investigating the potential that it's the same man involved with both incidents, despite clothing descriptions varying slightly among victim statements. Money was stolen from both businesses, though police won't release further details as the investigation is ongoing. Physical evidence at the scene was collected and is still being processed. They do ask anyone with information to call 307-682-5155, and urge anyone in this sort of situation to not confront the person trying to rob you. #county17 #news
