Local doctor to represent Wyoming on national health board

(Gillette, Wyo.) The American College of Cardiology has chosen a local doctor to represent the state of Wyoming. Dr. Nicholas Stamato, Campbell County Medical Group Cardiology, has been elected to serve on the Board of Governors beginning March 1. His term runs until 2019. As the voice of the Wyoming cardiology community, Dr. Stamato will advise local and state government and professional organizations on issues related to cardiovascular disease and patient access to quality, cost-effective care. The American College of Cardiology is a 47,000-member medical society with a mission to transform cardiovascular care to improve heart health. “I am very excited about the opportunity to not only make a difference both locally and nationally when it comes to transforming cardiovascular care, but also represent Campbell County Health,” said Dr. Stamato.
