Motorcycle Accident Leads to DUI Arrest

(Gillette, Wyo.) At 1:30 on Monday afternoon, Stanley Watt was heading west on Foothills on his 2012 Harley when he attempted to lean in to a left turn, but went too far. His foot peg hit the pavement. His bike flipped and threw him in to the middle of the roadway. Witnesses helped him out of the street as Campbell County Fire, Campbell County Health EMS, and Gillette Police arrived to help. When they arrived, Watt was unconscious. He was taken to the ER for treatment, as he had injuries to his face and hands. Officers allegedly noticed the strong odor of alcohol on his breath, so his blood was drawn for testing. He regained consciousness at the hospital, and was charged with DUI. Six hours later, Watt was allegedly yelling profanities at doctors and nurses, and reportedly kicked an ER nurse in the chest. He was arrested and charged with breach of peace and assault and battery, and was well enough to be taken to detention. The nurse did not need medical attention. #county17 #news
