Experience the Loves at the Cam-Plex Heritage Center

(Gillette, Wyo.) Mandy and Mike Love have found a hobby that gives them a chance to spend some time together. The life-long Campbell County residents are exhibiting their photographs for the first time this month at the Cam-Plex Heritage Center, and a reception for the gallery show takes place tomorrow night. They're very excited. "This is our very first show ever. I usually do commercial photography, but having our own show really gave me a chance to push myself to do more artistic work of my own," Mandy told County 17. "It's exciting to try something new, put it all out there, and see what kind of response we get." [image: 20160226_113340[1].jpg] The collection of over 50 photographs range in subject from nature to still life, wildlife and antiques. Mandy says she likes the textures of photographing vintage items. "I like the design elements of older things, cars and gears and things. I'm drawn to industrial shapes and more retro elements. They really catch my eye." The pictures are from the Love's family travels around Wyoming, Montana and Oregon. They both have a background in art but photography is a passion for the couple. They've been taking "photography dates" where they go out and chase storms, trying to get the perfect lightning photos. For the most part, though, taking pictures is part of their everyday life, and this exhibit is a chance for them to show off their work. "We're always armed with our cameras wherever we're at," Mandy added. "If the opportunity arises, we're out there shootin'." "Seasons of Love" shows at the Cam-Plex until March 6th. Their artist reception begins at 5 p.m. #county17 #news
