(Gillette, Wyo.) Tuesday morning the Board of Commissioners tentatively approved a Natural Resource & Land Use plan that has been in the works for many years. The land use plan that Campbell County currently has in place was in need of amendment. The land use board wants to make sure that state and federal agencies on county lands manage their projects in a way that protects and improves the well-being of Campbell County residents, while also improving the economy, without imposing unacceptable or unreasonable costs. "This is a total revamp of where we started 10 years ago," county planner Megan Nelm told the board. "We started this process because we didn't have solid policies and objectives in place."
