Gillette Students Capture 59 State Places at DECA Competition

(Casper, Wyo.) - Two hundred students from around Wyoming traveled to Casper for the 4A DECA State Conference last week. Nine schools brought their students to compete at the Parkway Plaza in fifty different business/marketing competitions. Campbell County High School sent 22 students to the event. Sixty percent of the team was new this year, and yet the students preformed better than last year. The students' performance was amazing because at this point, it is difficult to improve from year to year; to do so, more of the students have to win multiple state titles. Twenty students won at least one 1st, 2nd or 3rd place state title. These students practiced and studied very hard to produce these winnings.
