Dispatch: Disabled man harassed; Car theft at Rec Center; Motorcycle accident

Here's what happened around Campbell County on Thursday. All calls took place between 6 a.m March 10th and 6 a.m. March 11th. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Gillette Police Department* *Nathaniel Farnsworth, 39, Gillette*, arrested at Adult Probation Thursday morning after allegedly arriving there under the influence of meth. He reportedly admitted to police to using meth that morning, and was arrested for with being under the influence of a controlled substance. *Mark Ortegel, 50, Gillette*, arrested Thursday afternoon on South Douglas Highway.His car had broken down on the side of the road near Frontier Lanes, and officers stopped to assist him.He appeared to be intoxicated, and admitted to drinking and not being safe to drive. He refused a field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI. His blood alcohol level at detention was .19. *Criminal Trespassing* 8:30 a.m. on EZ Street a 52 year old caregiver for a 32 year old man with learning disabilities reported having a problem with a 24 year old man who routinely comes to the home to harass the 32 year old. The suspect claims the man owes him money and said he wouldn't stop bothering them until the debt was paid. He was issued a trespass notice from the property. *Destruction of Property* 10 a.m. at the La Quinta Inn a 40 year old employee of Border State Electric reported that someone had entered their supply trailer and damaged several items. There's estimated to be $1000 in damage. *Theft* 11:49 a.m. a 61 year old woman reported that her keys had been taken from her unlocked car while parked in the parking lot of the Rec Center. No other items appeared to be missing, but her car had been rummaged through. Through surveillance, police identified a suspect in a dark jacket driving a Chevy Spark. Total loss is estimated to be $650, as the key to her car is unique and hard to replace. *Harassment *2:30 p.m. a 45 year old woman reported her ex-husband was sending her letters in the mail at her mother's residence. She wanted contact with the ex to stop. He has not yet been contacted by police and an investigation is ongoing. *School Fight* 2:30 p.m. at Prairie Wind Elementary, two boys were involved in a physical fight. A 12 year old allegedly punched an 11 year old in the face. There were no injuries reported from either boy. The county attorney's office is reviewing the case. *Shoplifting* 2:36 p.m. The manager of Walgreens reported a 23 year old woman allegedly removed a cell phone from its packaging and left the store with it. Its value was $39.99. Officers contacted the woman, who admitted to taking the phone. She was issued a shoplifting citation and a trespass warning. 6:45 p.m. A 26 year old woman and 23 year old man attempted to push a shopping cart with $351.95 worth of groceries out the door of Wal-Mart without paying. *Car Accident* 3:37 p.m. A 16 year old woman was heading north on Oregon Avenue and reportedly pulled out in to the intersection with Westover Road, in front of a 20 year old man on a Yamaha motorcycle. He was unable to stop and couldn't avoid colliding with the back of the teen's GMC Pickup. Campbell County Fire also reported to the scene of the accident, but there were no injuries. The truck had a dented rear bumper, over $1000 in damage. The man's bike had damage to all the plastic parts, and a bent front wheel, over $1000 to repair. She was issued a ticket for failure to yield. The 20 year old was cited for not having vehicle insurance. *K9 Search* At 12:45 a.m. a 30 year old woman was stopped in her Chevy Silverado for an equipment violation. A K9 searched around the vehicle and indicated there might be drugs present. A search of the car turned up a baggie with meth residue in woman's purse. There was not enough present to charge her for possession. *Campbell County Sheriff's Office* *Damon Groh, 19, Gillette*, arrested for a bond revocation. *David Melum, 28, Marysville WA*, arrested in Crook County for a warrant. *Raymond Zweeres, 43, Gillette*, served with a bond revocation charge while in detention. *Narcotics* A man who had purchased a used Honda from Montana was at the Sheriff's Office having the VIN number checked, when he asked that a K9 also search the car for possible drugs. The dog discovered evidence of marijuana inside. The man will be taking the car to be professionally cleaned. *Threats* A woman saw a car she recognized from her past around town and thought it was someone she did not want back in her life. The Sheriff's Office contacted the man she was referring to, and discovered he now lives in North Dakota. *Information provided by GPD Sgt.
