Dispatch: Deputies arrest a suspect in a 2009 burglary case; Gillette Airport turns in confiscated items

Here's what happened around Campbell County on Thursday. All calls took place between 6 a.m March 24th and 6 a.m. March 25th. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Arrests* Terry Baumberger, 59, GIllette, was seen stumbling around South Douglas Highway near Office Depot on Thursday morning. Reports indicate he was extremely intoxicated and officers were unable to find someone to care for him. He was arrested for public intoxication and had a .22 blood alcohol level at detention. Two pairs of eyeglasses with price tags still attached were allegedly discovered in his pocket, and he admitted he stole them from Family Dollar. He was also cited for shoplifting. Jack Boller, 35, Gillette, has been in custody at the VOA and was picked up by Campbell County Sheriff's Deputies while at the Child Support Authority Thursday. He allegedly stole tools and weapons from a shed in the county in 2009. He's been charged with larceny and burglary. Berry Gibson, 33, Gillette, arrested for a warrant. Joseph Hanson, 53, Gillette, arrested for a probation violation. Chelsea Martinez, 31, Gillette, reported to police that she was seeing things in her residence on Thursday afternoon. Officers were unable to see what she was describing, bugs all over her apartment. Her probation officer arrived and she admitted to snorting meth earlier in the day. Officers found .5 grams of meth in her purse when they searched her apartment. She was arrested for possession and probation violation. Kathy McGee, 41, Gillette, was arrested for DUI on Friday morning. She is on probation for DUI and so was also cited with probation violation. Jared Siglin, 32, Gillette, arrested for two bench warrants. Dallas Taylor, 19, Moorcroft, was with two other teenagers Thursday night, allegedly drinking in the parking lot of the Shell station on Highway 14/16. Officers searched his Dodge Ram Truck and reportedly found a Schnapp's bottle and several empty beer cans. He is on adult probation for DUI, and so was arrested for Minor With Alcohol. Typically Gillette Police don't arrest minors for drinking, but he had alcohol restrictions on his probation. He was also cited with two counts of probation violation. Matthew Wood, 31, Gillette, was arrested for a bond revocation. *Calls* *Immigration* 4:30 a.m. Friday morning, the Sheriff's Office assisted ICE with an investigation on Daybreak Drive. *Theft* 11:31 a.m. on East 7th Street a 39 year old woman reported that a bag with her keys, books, and an iPad owned by the school district was taken from her unlocked car. The value of the lost items is estimated at $600. 3:40 p.m. on Mecent Avenue a man reported that several items of his, including a sound system, had been stolen after he was evicted from his residence. Sheriff's deputies investigated and found that his personal property had been placed in storage for him to recover. *Fraud* Thursday afternoon a 41 year old woman called the Sheriff's Office to report that she'd received what she believed to be a scam phone call about debt collection. Deputies called the number the woman provided them, and talked with "April," a "Federal Arbitrator" in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She claimed to have no knowledge of what debt they were referring to, and gave them another number to call, which turned out to be a dead end. No money was lost. *Airport *The TSA contacted the Sheriff's Office about ammunition they have collected over the past two years at the airport. They handed over 20 different caliber bullets, including a half dozen 9mm rounds and .22 rounds, that had been confiscated from passengers since 2014. *Traffic *The Sheriff's Office helped remove an antelope from Highway 14/16 that had been hit by a car some time Thursday morning. *Information provided by Campbell County Sheriff Scott Matheny and GPD Lieutenant Chuck Deaton.* #county17 #news
