Stress Management Workshop Scheduled for April

(Gillette, Wyo.) Campbell County's "Critical Incident Stress Management" team, or "CISM," is a group of volunteers that are trained to provide support to those that have been involved in a traumatic event. Next month they are teaming up with Campbell County Health to put on a workshop called "Assisting Individuals in Crisis," to provide training to anyone in Northeast Wyoming that has to deal with the effects of trauma. The program will provide practical experience and intervention development for those involved in Behavioral Health, Disaster Response, Education, Human Resources, and Law Enforcement, among others. It's designed to help anyone who wants to increase their knowledge of one-on-one crisis intervention techniques. A certificate of completion is issued to each participant, as well as 1.3 continuing educational credit hours for those that require it. The cost if you register before April 1st is $100. It will take place April 28th through the 29th, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the Community Room at Campbell County Fire Station #1, 106 Rohan Ave. For more information or to register, contact Gordon Harper at 307-680-6286. #county17 #news
