Tuesday Farmer's Market is Looking for New Vendors

(Gillette, Wyo.) Every Tuesday, rain or shine, year-round, the Gillette Farmer's Market is open from noon until 3 p.m. in front of the Open Door Church. "We have an excellent location with lots of traffic and are working on a better location with indoor space for bad weather," the organization said in a Facebook post. But they are currently in need of more growers, producers, bakers and artisans from around Campbell County. It's $5 per stall to sell your items or locally made goods and crafts at each week's market. "The Wyoming Food Freedom Act permits the sale of any food item as long as there is a single transaction between the producer and informed end consumer. The consumer must be informed that the food product is not licensed, inspected or certified. The exception is that most meats and meat products must still be inspected, such as beef, pork, lamb, etc. However poultry and poultry products are permitted." If you have any questions or need to check if your product or goods would be allowed under the market rules and state laws, you can contact the Farmer's Market here . #county17 #news
