#whatshappening: Dance, Art, and... Beer Pong?

(Gillette, Wyo.) "I strive to create two dimensional images that appear three dimensional using light, color, detail and strong contrasts." So says Pat Trout, the Sheridan artist featured this month at the Cam-Plex Heritage Center. "In Full Bloom" is open to the public until April 10th, but tonight there is a special artist's reception from 5 until 7 p.m. Following directly afterwards is "Deeply Rooted Dance Theater," an African-American dance troupe from Chicago, co-founded by Performing Arts Workshop director Gary Abbott. Full performance starts at 7 p.m., following a dance class from 4 to 5 p.m. at the library that is open to everyone. Team Wyoming will be taking on Team Montana in an exhibition roller derby match at the Rockpile Ice Arena. Action starts at 6 p.m., and it is free to the public. The World Series of Beer Pong comes to Gillette, courtesy the Coffee Beanery. It's scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., and is for 21 and over only (beer, wine, and liquor will be served.) First place is entered in to the World Series final tournament in Las Vegas. That's also at the Cam-Plex. In Wright, the Community Center is hosting a benefit event for Silver Sage Senior Center. "Bubbly, Brew, & Booze" starts at 5 p.m., and will include wine, beer, hors d'oeuvres and an auction. $10 a ticket for 21 and over. #county17 #news #whatshappening
