Here's What's Happening This Weekend in Gillette

(Gillette, Wyo.) The Cam-Plex is packed with activity this weekend! Starting Saturday at 9 a.m. is the Community Garage Sale in the Wyoming Center. The event is full with 150 booths. It goes until 3 p.m. The event is free to attend. Gillette Roller Derby begins their home season at the Central Pavilion Saturday afternoon. Doors open at 4:30 and the first bout is a mixer between Gillette's Miner Misfits and Billings' junior derbiers. The Coal Miners Daughers will face Black Hills' Wildfire Roller Derby directly after. The cost is $5 and a portion of all ticket sales benefits There's No Place Like Home No-Kill Shelter. The Spotlight Dance Cup will continue its run at the Heritage Center through Sunday. Dance students from around Wyoming are competing in front of dance professionals and instructors. The American Legion Post 52 is hosting a Luau Party starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Admission for 2 adults is $35, kids over 8 is $10. There will be games, prizes, and a tropical salad contest. Also Saturday, Big Lost Meadery is hosting a Viking Dinner. The "Viking-Style" four course meal provided by Pizza Carrello is $75. There will be live entertainment, costumes, and of course, mead. That goes from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Potter Family will be performing music from the 30s and 40s through today at the Senior Center on Saturday.
