Gillette Man Just Needed A Better Pair of Kicks

(Casper, Wyo.) Monday afternoon in Casper, officers picked up a Gillette resident that was stopped allegedly shoplifting at Wal-Mart. According to police reports, Jonathan Harris was in the store with a few friends and decided to switch his shoes for a new pair he spied in the shoe aisle. He allegedly told law enforcement that he was "planning to walk to Colorado for a concert" and the shoes he'd had on were hurting his feet. Harris reportedly has several failure to appear warrants on his record and so was arrested for shoplifting. A search revealed he also had a rolled up shirt stuffed halfway down his pants. He was not trespassed from the store, but video surveillance is being reviewed. The total amount of items Harris allegedly attempted to steal is $54.63. #county17 #news
