What's Happening April 15th - 17th

(Gillette, Wyo.) Gillette Little League's Baseball Camp starts at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon for ages 4-8 and 6:30 for ages 9-12. It's $25 and includes coaching from Riders and Rustlers players and coaches. You do not need to have registered in advance. That's at Hladky Memorial Stadium. Tonight at 6 p.m., the Women's Resource Center hosts "Blast From The Past." The silent auction, dinner, live auction and dance is $45 at the door to benefit the center. If you're looking for free events, at 7 p.m. the Campbell County Planetarium (at Sage Valley Junior High) is hosting their monthly laser show, and for April it's Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." Admission is free. Also at 7 p.m., National Poetry Month and National Library Week collide at Brother's Coffee downtown. The Library is hosting a Poetry Open Mic that is open to everyone. Starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday (and again on Saturday) the Levis and Lace Square Dance Club will host its 37th annual Spring Fling. The theme this year is "Under the Big Top". That's at North Campus. *Saturday* Landon's Greenhouse & Nursery opens for the season on Monday the 18th, but Saturday they will have two free workshops available. "How to Grow Veggies" starts at 10 a.m., and "Growing the Perfect Tomato in Wyoming" starts at 1 p.m. They're located at 819 Country Club Road. "Cupcake Wars" starts at the Library at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $5 and includes cupcake tasting and judging. The Council of Community Services' annual Empty Bowl fundraiser starts at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Campbell County Senior Center. Tickets are $40 and include dinner, an auction, and a raffle. Saturday night is your chance to catch Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band at Boot Hill. The concert benefits the St. Jude Foundation. Tickets are $25. *At the Cam-Plex* The Powder Basin Equestrian Association Horse Show & Clinic starts 9 a.m. Friday at the East Pavilion and runs through Sunday. The Wyoming Sportsman's Expo also starts Friday at the Wyoming Center. The $10 admission includes entrance to the Western Regional Taxidermy Championships. The Muscle Race & Rod Show is happening Saturday starting at Noon in the Central Pavilion.
