Elementary Student Reports Assault to School

(Gillette, Wyo.) Preliminary reports from Gillette Police state that the Department of Family Services called them for assistance on Tuesday morning, April 26th. At around 11:45 a.m., officers spoke with a 6 year old at Rawhide Elementary who reported that he was assaulted by his father that morning, just before school. The boy claims that his father punched him, threw a flip flop at his head, and bit his toe, according to GPD Sergeant Jason Marcus. The child had marks on his neck, a swollen ear, and marks on his face to substantiate his claims. He was taken in to protective custody with his 10 year old and 6 year old sisters. Police are currently investigating. No one has yet been cited or arrested. #county17 #news
