Christensen to seek re-election to Campbell County Commissioners

(Gillette, Wyo.) Commissioner Mark Christensen announced his intent to retain his seat on the Board of Commissioners on Tuesday afternoon. He was first elected to the Board in 2012 and began his current term in January 2013. While on the Board he proposed the idea of the "Short-Term Capital Construction Account," which now holds over $20 million to be used for capital construction needed by the County, even during times of lower revenues. Commissioner Christensen graduated from Campbell County High School and has a Finance degree from the University of Wyoming, and an M.S. in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver. He lives with his wife, Erika, and their two sons on their ranch near the Pumpkin Buttes, south of Gillette. "It’s important to Erika and me that our boys go to the same rural elementary school I went to, and that they have the same opportunities we both have had in Campbell County," he said in a statement. "We want to make sure Campbell County is a good place to raise our boys and I see my past efforts on the Board of Commissioners and what I would like to accomplish the next four years as an important way to accomplish this for them and other Campbell County young people." #county17 #news
